Ecuador and Eagles

Jeff is a wildlife photographer, author, lecturer and teacher of photography. In this episode we talk about his recent trip to Ecuador and his new book on eagles. Jeff talks about being on assignment in Ecuador for a birding tour company, the diverse geography of Ecuador and the huge numbers of beautiful birds to photograph including 130+ species of hummingbirds.

Then we discuss his new book and his decades long love affair with eagles. He has traveled the West including the Aleutian Islands of Alaska to photograph Bald Eagles including nesting pairs. We discuss the rigors of travelling to the Aleutians and shooting from a blind. Plus, we talk about his travels to Japan to photograph Steller Sea Eagles, White-tailed Eagles and Red-crowned Cranes.

Finally, we discuss the changes in the publishing injury over his photography career.
